Administrative Council
The primary purpose of the Administrative Council is to administer and manage the work and ministry of the local church. This work includes visioning; strategic planning; creation and oversight of current and new ministry areas, evaluation and assessment of the church; management of the calendar of events; recommending and approving requests from groups and/or individuals; delegation responsibilities as needed; approval of the annual budget (as recommended by the finance committee); and working with the pastor to edify the church, its people, and those beyond.
The Administrative Council meets the second Wednesday of every month. If an emergency arises, a Special Meeting will be scheduled as soon as possible. The committee member or its representative present and voting at any duly announced meeting shall constitute a quorum. Only HUMC members are authorized to vote.
